SoundPEATS Sonic Headphone Review 2022

SoundPEATS Sonic Headphone Review 2022

The Soundpeats Sonic is a great headset with a lot of features. On the plus side, I can thank the simple insertion in the ear canal, the 5.2 version of the wireless Bluetooth connection, and the abundance of aptX, AAC, and SBC codecs for this. Naturally, I am a big fan of bass and volume.

The game mode also offers a low latency and multi-functional touch control. However, I may point out the lack of rapid charging, the lack of active noise reduction or transparent mode, and the poor microphone quality in noisy environments.

SoundPEATS Sonic Headphone Performance

When most people inquire about the sound quality of a pair of earbuds, they are referring to the sound quality. The Sonic Wireless Earbuds do not disappoint in this area. From the deepest bass to the lowest highs, they provide rich audio across the entire spectrum. They don’t have a lot of bass, but that’s not what they’re made for.

They’re meant to be a blank canvas for you to paint with your own musical preferences. You may turn up the bass on your phone or MP3 player if it has an EQ setting, and you’ll notice the difference. You’ll already have it if you’re a fan of classical music or other genres that require a more balanced EQ.

The Sonic earphones have a wonderful and broad soundscape. While listening, you get a real sense of space, as if you’re sitting in on a live performance. You’ll also benefit from very low latency, which means the audio transmission will be delayed less. While you’re listening to music, you won’t notice. However, when viewing movies or playing games, the audio and video will be more in sync.

The Sonic buds use the aptX adaptive protocol, which is already quite fast, for typical use. They do, however, feature a gaming mode that may be activated for even lower latency. The audio quality in this mode may deteriorate from time to time. Instead, the earphones will place a premium on quickness. This provides you the best chance of reacting rapidly to game events.

The Sonic Wireless Earbuds feature CVC 8.0 technology for hands-free calling. The built-in microphones use a Qualcomm chipset to focus on your voice. They eliminate background noise, allowing the person on the other end of the line to clearly hear you. The quality of their microphones will determine how well you can hear them rather than your own headphones.

SoundPEATS Sonic Headphone Design

SoundPEATS Sonic Headphone Design

The SoundPEATS Sonic Wireless Earbuds have a low-profile, compact design that fits comfortably in your ears. This makes them extremely secure, and you won’t have to worry about them accidentally falling out. It also reduces their total size, allowing for a more compact carrying case. Of course, having a well-sealed set of ear tips is required for this snug fit. Fortunately, the box includes three additional pairs of silicone tips. They come in a variety of sizes, so there’s something for everyone. Find a pair that fits comfortably in your ears and provides a decent seal without being too tight.

Another advantage of achieving the appropriate fit is that it provides some noise isolation. This isn’t nearly as good as active noise cancellation, but it gets the job done. A flexible ear tip, on the other hand, may be bothersome for some persons. An AirPod-style earphone with firm tips and a loose fit would be a preferable option in that instance. Consider the SoundPEATS Truebuds, for example. Because of their vertical form and robust tips, these buds are extremely pleasant for most individuals. The battery life per charge, on the other hand, is somewhat restricted.

The earbud shells are made of a dark-colored plastic that taper to a small tip. A flat, rose silver surface in the back is designed like a shield or a guitar pick. It has an engraved SoundPEATS logo on it and serves as a soft touch control. The controls may be readily operated with ease thanks to the soft touch design. You don’t need to press hard; a gentle push would enough. You may skip tracks, adjust the volume, play or pause your music, and take calls with the controls. You may even activate the voice assistant on your phone.

However, several of these features necessitate double or triple-taps, which can be irritating. A double tap, for example, may be misinterpreted by the buds as a single. Read our SoundPEATS Truengine 3 SE review if you’re looking for improved controls. They’re simple to use, but the tips don’t provide much noise isolation.

The Sonic Wireless Earbuds feature an IPX5 grade for water resistance. This means they can withstand heavy rain and are splash-resistant. We wouldn’t want to risk it by wearing them in the shower, though. Simply leave them to charge while you clean up after your workout.

The Sonic buds come with a carrying case that also serves as a charger, as do other wireless earphones. The grey casing matches the earbud shells, and the silver interior is sculpted to fit the earbuds. An LED battery indicator changes colour under the lid, between the two earbud wells. When the casing is opened, it will light up green, yellow, or red depending on the battery level.

The clamshell-style cover is spring-loaded to prevent accidental opening. It’s also rounded like the rest of the case, making it easy to slip into your pocket. The USB Type-C charging connector is located beneath the hinge on the back of the casing. The kit includes a Type-C cable, so you’ll have everything you need to get started.

Final Thoughts

As you can see, the SoundPEATS Sonic Wireless Earbuds offer a lot of bang for your buck, especially considering their low pricing. The audio quality is excellent, far superior to that of most similarly priced buds. We were particularly taken by the bass’s depth. It isn’t particularly strong, but it has a lot of texture and depth.

Furthermore, the low latency and game mode provide exceptional performance for a variety of applications other than music. With the same headphones that you use for hands-free calling, you can watch Netflix or play Call of Duty.
